Just follow the sales lady, seriously, those girls should know what kind of stuff you need, given they live here.
No but seriously, that's how I usually get stuff, I trust them completely and get what they recommend me. Except if it's one of the girls that work for brands that have separate counters inside the store, I just politely thank them for their help and tell them I'm interested in something cheaper, but to those who can afford it, go for it!
Anyway, this is how I was spared the bothersome phase where you're looking for products that work for me. After I ran out of my Etude House Moistfull Collagen Emulsion (which is also good, btw!) I didn't want to place a Gmarket order just for that, so I went to the nearest Watson's and started looking for a new emulsion. The sales girl recommended me Inoherb's Lilium Essential Hydrating Moistuizer (相宜本草 百合高保温润养水). At first I wasn't too sure about it, because it was a bit on the pricier side for me and I had no idea about the ingredients since they were all in Chinese, but I just went with it and I do not regret.
It costs around 80 CNY, which is around 10€, not really expensive, but I'm living on a tight budget here, okay! ;)
I usually put it on in the morning and in the evening, right after I wash my face. The instructions say to put an appropriate amount of product onto a cotton pad and gently swipe it all over you face, wait for it to be fully absorbed and continue using other products.
Because of reasons, mostly me being lazy, I don't use a cotton pad but just apply it using my hands. The product itself is quite thin and not completely transparent. Just by itself it doesn't feel not really hydrating, and my face still feels tight, but during the day the difference is more than apparent.
Honestly speaking, I wouldn't have bought the product had I know it contains parabens, but what is done is done, I'm almost done with this product by now, so I'll just use it up. By the way, parabens in Chinese are  羟苯甲酯 (methyl)， 羟苯乙酯 (ethyl)， 羟苯丙酯 (propyl) and 羟苯丁酯 (butyl). Now I know for next time! :)

In the beginning I only used this combined with my day cream, but as the winter was nearing, I left for my nearest Watson's once more.But more about that in the next post, going through the ingredients list sure is a lot of work :)

I think my last post was about a year ago, if not even more, time flies....
anyway, one of the reasons I started this blog was to keep my English from completely going down the drain, the other, to write about stuff, whether was it cosmetics or just whatever. I obviously failed :D But I do wish this time I can continue updating more often on stuff I got that maybe not many bloggers posted about or the info on whatever I find interesting in anyway :)
Quick update, school was the one that kept me from blogging as much as I would like, but on the other side, thanks to the good impression I made on my teachers, they suggested I should be one of the 4 students from our uni that gets a really good scholarship to study in China for a year. So here I am, in Beijing...studying my a** off, but at least I have more free time that back at home I guess :)
So one of the first questions I asked myself after I got here was, what happens when I run out of the products I brought with myself, and how do I get through the dry winter here? Well the next post is going to be about this, which product did it for me (in case someone, who's not too familiar with Chinese beauty brands, just like me, stumbles across this post :) ).

After a few months of trying to keep up with everything going on at uni, and it's mostly studying and maybe a meeting here and there, but lol no time for anything, I have some time off! Which means food and movies...for a day or two...then it's back to studying, I'm really falling behind in pretty much every class no matter how much I (try to) study ;_;
Anyway I got these lenses a few months back. I've been wanting to get this pair ever since these were available but just never had the money or decided to get ones with a smaller diameter. Silly me. Yep these are quite enlarging, nope the yellow part does not make me look weird, yep the blend really nicely with my grey eyes.

These are also very comfortable, I've already had a few pairs of Geo lenses, Geo Nudy and Geo Super Nudy to be exact and I did not find them very comfortable, especially Geo Nudy. Most people say those are comfortable but for me unfortunately they were not. And I loved Nudy blue because it looked so natural on my eyes. But yeah very comfortable, of course after a few hours my eyes started to get a bit dry, but it was nothing some eye drops couldn't solve.

So a few days ago while I was getting ready to go out I remembers about a blogger who put extensions in a wig to make it thicker I think and I remembered I was thinking what to do with the old extensions since they're still in good condition but I just ordered new, longer ones. They were still pink since I had light pink hair before I left for Taiwan so I figured why not change my wig up a bit. And I think that the brownxpink color combo looks really nice
I know it looks a bit sloppy but it's difficult to close the clip when there is a bunch of bands running from the top of the wig down holding hair in place.
This is how it looks. I didn't use up all the extensions and I will change them up a bit sometime in the near future after I wash my wig. I will probably put all of them in since I think the pink doesn't show up enough.

A few days later i decided to braid it to see if it can the the waves back since it's becoming flatter and flatter. I've also been straightening it to help with the frizz, so that's also the reason it's becoming straight.

After I braided it if used a blow dryer, from a distance of course, since mine is a century old and it doesn't have any heat settings except hot as hell. Left it braided overnight, and while the result was okay it only lasted a day or two so maybe next time I should keep it heated longer...

This would have been posted earlier but I never remember to take a photo of the wig you know...outside. In the bright sun...It's not that I don't go out often during the summer vacation it's just that I never remember...really...I still need to pay the bills if not anything else. But because of the unusual lack of sunny days I can't post it yet.

But anyway that's not so important.

Okay onto the review. This is my first wig and I chose it after about a month of going through numerous reviews of quite a lot of brands. In the end I chose this brand because it was one of the cheapest and had pretty much only good reviews. I got it on eBay of course and it got here in a week which is pretty damn fast. It usually takes about 2 weeks for packages to get here so I was surprised seeing the package when I got home.

Since this is my first wig I don't know how a good new wig is supposed to look but wow it looked like greasy hair.
It was nicely packaged with the bag and everything. I also got a wig cap with it and I think the seller would have sent me a wig stand or something with it if I gave feedback before the item was sent but since it was my first time ordering from them I wanted to be sure about their service. But I think next time I will be giving them good feedback before because everything was perfect and I think the wig is great.

The wig itself was really soft it felt a bit plasticy once you touched it but everyone thought my hair has miraculously grown overnight including my family (they thought it was extensions actually because my hair was dyed a similar color at the time) and friends who thought it was my real hair since they haven't seen me in a long time because you know exams mean no social life for me. I cut the bangs a bit but I don't think it was really necessary. There was no info on heat resistance but I think I read a review where the girl used heat on it and everything was okay. It also has a skin top and the color (flaxen) looks really nice and the wig looked the same as the seller advertised it. In day light it looks natural, it might have a bit of an unnatural shine to it on direct sunlight but other than that it's okay. But with flash it looks just like any other synthetic wig. SHINY, REALLY REALLY SHINY. But the baby powder helped toning down the shine a bit.

It's been holding up okay I think. I've had it for almost 3 months now and except for the time while I was in Taiwan I wear it pretty much everyday. The ends started to get a bit frizzy so I got rid of it by straightening it. I used the lowest setting on my straightener (40 degrees Celsius). This also means the lowest layers are straight but I hope that washing it will revive the waves it had. If not then I guess I'll just have a really long straight wig or I might curl it.
Also why do I keep typing thong instead of thing and shine instead of shiny? What is spelling lol.

I noticed I haven't posted anything in almost 2 months now. I have a whole lot of things to write about but the last post was about two weeks before I left so there was little to no time for everything I wanted to do. Then while I was in Taiwan our schedule was kind of packed and when we had free time there was no way I was going to spend it on the internet. And now for the past 2 weeks since I came back I was just resting and catching up on everything.
Because one of promises I made to myself before I left for Taiwan was to get SJ's SF&S and Han Geng's Hope in the darkness. Which I got both~~~

 I was kind of afraid I might not be able get them but I had no trouble...I just had to wait a bit :)
Other promises to myself were learn as much is possible, meet many new people, eat everything!!, keep the promise you made to you teacher before leaving (you know good impressions and everything), buy those shoes you've been eyeing for so long really cheap,...And I think I kept them all!

Okay so in the last 4 years I've tried a few different semi-permanent dye brands and Crazy Color was the best when it came to price, how long it lasts and how easy is to get it bleached out. Other dyes were either too expensive for how long they lasted or were hard to bleach out. I also liked Directions but it needed more bleaching to get it completely out.
With both brands it usually lasts me a few washes before the color change is really noticeable. So yes I have to re-dye my hair every 4 washes if I want to keep the color.
I've been dying my hair unnatural colors since I was 18, but these dyes are all from last summer on because I never really took any photos of dyes I used before.
First thing I did after I finished school last year was dye my hair purple :D I liked Directions' shade so I bought this brand for the first time. I of course I first dyed my hair a very light blonde, applied the dye and left it on for a few hours like I always do with semi-permanents.

It almost looks blue here but it actually looked purple in real life :)

A few people though it was a wig and pulled my hair and were shocked when it stayed on my head haha. I got bored with it after a month so I bleached it out. It usually takes no more than 5 minutes with Crazy Color hair dyes to get it completely out but I had to leave bleach on for 10 or 15 minutes with this dye which I really didn't like :/.
Because I didn't want to have pink hair again I spoke to a few friends and we decided I was going to try blue hair dye. As a loyal customer I again bought Crazy Color :)

This is their darker blue and I think most people liked this one the best. Well it's the only dye I ever tried that people said later on 'you should dye your hair like that again'.
If it's not noticeable I adore pink :) so if the school's out I probably have my hair dyed a shade of pink. I love Crazy Color's Pinkissimo. It's a very strong shade of pink so this summer I decided to mix it with conditioner and I got a lovely shade of light pink which I love even more than the undiluted one :D  But right now I'm too lazy to fix my hair and take a photo :3. To anyone familiar with Manic Panic, Pinkissimo is similar to their Hot pink.

 I also tried Directions' Carnation pink. I love the shade but I don't use it because it is impossible to bleach it out if you leave it on more than the recommended 15 minutes which I always do to make sure the dye stays on...and this one does. I had to wait 6 months for it to completely wash out. I also used it when I had light brown hair after I saw a few gyaru models with a similar style and it looked really nice :)


I used Directions' Carnation pink and Crazy Color's Sky blue on both photos. Loved the combo but still got rid of it quickly after I decided I wanted silver hair. I went with Directions' Silver and I got a nice shade of silver/grey. I was also sick of people staring and I started a job.
This photo does not give any justice to the dye at all but it toned my hair nicely. It was kind of interesting when at first my hair was slightly silverish but with the first and second wash it got more grey.
Around end of April so many people were dying their hair red and after my cousin asked me do dye her hair a dark shade of red I decided to use up my left over red dye from winter and I dyed all of my hair a bright red. It was a really shocking red. I adored it but it was too much. Or maybe I just wasn't used to stares I don't know but I soon dyed my hair brown and left it that way until a few days back :)
